13 Spellman Players participated in the 2006 NFLHSPD (High School Player Developement) Clinic at JFK High School and is sponsored by the NFL. The event runs from May 1-5 and includes academic advice from College recruiters as well as hands on instruction and drills from College and High school coaches. Players from JFK, Spellman, Lehman, Mount Vernon, Stepinac, Hayes, Mt. St. Michael, Fordham Prep and others participated. The Coaching Staff includes coaches from SUNY Maritime, Marist College, Pace University, CW Post and local High Schools. Players received jerseys from the NFL, as well as advice on academic requirements for College admission via the NCAA Clearinghouse. From Spellman, the following attended: Sam Tonge, Rob McIntosh, Terrane Hicks, Akai King, Shayan Tamayo, Sean Kern, Jason Judge, Charles Lynch,Nick Versaci, Brandon Matthews, Wellington Basora, Lewis Graham and Ruben Cancel.
